Founding CTO — Regulated Trading Platform Arbejdsgiver Saga markets Frederiksberg Cofounder Salary Unpaid About Saga Markets Saga Markets is building Europe's first regulated prediction markets trading venue. We are part of Copenhagen Fintech as well as the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship. We have a working product and are now building the platform that takes us through regulation and launch. The role You are the systems brain of Saga. You own the architecture of the production platform end to end: how the systems are designed, how they connect, how the data layer is built, and how a licensing-grade MVP becomes a venue built to scale. Our co-founder, the CPO, owns product and the specification of the market designs. You own how that specification becomes a real, regulated and resilient system. What you'll own Phase one, the licensing MVP Define the target architecture for the regulated platform: services, boundaries, data flows, and how each system links to the next. Design the data layer and database schema for a trading venue. Produce the architecture documentation. Phase two, the production platform Evolve the MVP into a venue built for scale. Set the standards for the future engineering team. Act as the named technical responsible person. Who you are 15+ years building and architecting systems, including greenfield designs that scaled. Strong data and database architecture skills. You design schemas that hold up under correctness, audit, and growth pressure. You have built or operated systems where correctness, uptime, and auditability are non-negotiable. Trading venues or other regulated financial infrastructure is a strong advantage. You can own a blueprint end to end and defend it to regulators, investors, and to your own engineers. Strong pluses Hands-on experience with order book systems or financial markets. Familiarity with the European regulatory regime for financial systems and data governance. Experience scaling both a platform and a team from early stage through growth.
