Job DescriptionCustomer Operations Specialist Location: Skålund, Denmark preferred, with flexibility for Copenhagen or Düsseldorf Languages: Danish, German, and English Employment type: Full-time About the opportunity We are looking for a highly structured, proactive, and commercially minded Customer Operations Specialist to join a fast-growing, international food-tech scale-up with a strong sustainability mission. This is a central and highly visible role where you will act as the operational link between customers, sales, production, quality assurance, finance, logistics, and marketing. You will be the person who ensures that customer orders are handled correctly, deliveries run smoothly, internal teams are aligned, and customers receive clear, professional communication. The company is operating in a dynamic startup environment, so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact in a business that is scaling across European markets. The role As Customer Operations Specialist, you will become a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders across Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. You will manage customer orders from intake to delivery, coordinate logistics, support demand forecasting, and help ensure that customer expectations are met with accuracy and professionalism. You will work closely with Key Account Managers, the production team, quality assurance, finance, and marketing. The role requires someone who can stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, follow up reliably, and move things forward in a fast-paced environment. This is not a narrow customer service role. It is a hands-on operational position where you will help create structure, improve processes, and support the company’s continued growth. Key responsibilities Order and logistics management You will handle, double-check, and process customer orders, ensuring that all relevant information is accurate before passing orders on to production. You will act as the main contact for customer questions related to deliveries, order status, and troubleshooting. You will also coordinate transport and logistics arrangements to make sure products are delivered on time and in line with customer expectations. Internal and external coordination You will work closely with Key Account Managers to clarify order details, align on customer expectations, and support customers across Danish, German, and Swiss markets. You will collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to manage and communicate product specifications and relevant product details to customers. You will also coordinate with finance to support invoice creation and work with marketing on customer-related events and communications when needed. Forecasting and systems support You will support the demand forecasting process by coordinating the sales plan together with Key Account Managers. In addition, you will play an important role in supporting the implementation of a new ERP system by helping provide relevant data and improving future operational workflows. What we are looking for We are looking for someone who is structured, hands-on, proactive, and comfortable taking responsibility. You should enjoy coordinating across teams, solving problems, and working close to both customers and internal stakeholders. Fluency in Danish, German, and English is essential, as you will communicate daily with customers and colleagues across multiple European markets. You should bring strong communication skills, a friendly and professional manner, and the ability to manage several priorities at once. A high level of attention to detail is important, as you will be responsible for ensuring that orders, specifications, forecasts, and customer information are handled accurately. Previous experience in customer operations, customer service, logistics, sales support, supply chain, or a similar coordination-focused role is beneficial. However, attitude, ownership, drive, and cultural fit are just as important as years of experience. Ideal profile The ideal candidate is someone who naturally follows up, pushes things forward, and does not wait to be told what to do. You are comfortable working in a startup or scale-up environment where priorities can shift and where flexibility is needed. You are commercially aware, understand the importance of customer satisfaction, and know how to balance customer needs with internal business priorities. You enjoy being the person who creates clarity and structure when many different teams are involved. What is offered You will join a mission-driven, international company working to create a more sustainable future within the food industry. The role offers high visibility, broad responsibility, and daily interaction across all major departments. You will become part of a passionate and ambitious team in a fast-growing environment where your work has a direct impact on customer satisfaction, internal efficiency, and operational success. The compensation package includes a competitive salary of approximately 45,000 annually, plus a 5% pension contribution. Why this role is exciting This is a unique opportunity to become the operational linchpin in a growing food-tech company. You will use your trilingual skills every day, support customers across several European markets, and help build scalable processes in a company with a strong environmental purpose. For someone who enjoys responsibility, structure, communication, and international collaboration, this role offers the chance to make a visible and meaningful impact.
