Technical Product Manager for IRIS What does it take to make allied defence systems talk to each other across borders, platforms and coalitions? At Systematic, we hold a market-leading position, providing a foundation that makes that possible through the interoperability standards that keep C4ISR systems connected. If you want to help us maintain and expand that position, you might be the next Technical Product Manager we are looking for to join Systematic’s Defence division. The role: driving the technical direction of interoperability standards Systematic is strengthening its strategic investment in interoperability standards, and we are now adding dedicated product management capacity to drive the technical direction of these standards forward. As Technical Product Manager, you will report to the Director of Product Management and be part of both the established Defence Product Management team and the IRIS business owner team. You will have a functional reference to the IRIS Business Product Manager, working in close alignment to ensure coherent product direction - where the Business Product Manager owns and leads the commercial and business aspects, you will own and lead the technical side. In short, you can look forward to: tracking and evaluating changes to supported interoperability standards (such as MIP, LINK 16, NFFI) and assessing new ones as they emerge, aligning with the Business Product Manager on roadmap priorities working closely with the Business Product Manager, lead architects and the development team to ensure implemented solutions meet technical, customer and business needs conducting market research and engaging with domain experts, sales teams and customers to identify changes to standards and their impact on products supporting Sales and Services in proposal work by providing technical product guidance on interoperability standards serving as Systematic’s subject matter expert on interoperability - maintaining clear internal and external communication on topics relating to standards Joining the team: a product management team at the core of defence interoperability You will be joining a product management team of 20 people within Systematic’s Defence division, working at the heart of our IRIS product. IRIS is one of our most integrated products, embedded across the suite and a critical component of our broader defence offering. Your closest collaborator will be the IRIS Business Product Manager, with a clear division of ownership between the commercial and technical sides. The team has a strong culture of inclusion and cross-functional engagement, bringing in Sales, Services and other product managers early and often. Because IRIS connects with the rest of the SitaWare product suite, internal stakeholder management is a meaningful part of the role - keeping other product managers informed and aligned sits alongside the technical product work itself. You bring: analytical depth, technical grounding and strong communication skills To succeed in this role, you will bring a self-motivated mindset, with the ambition and professional commitment to drive Systematic’s interoperability products to continued market success. We are also looking for: around 5 years of solid experience in product management or similar roles - experience working closely with development teams would be a clear advantage a master’s degree in a relevant field; we value analytical depth over a specific discipline - degrees in economics, law or related fields are equally as relevant as technical degrees proven experience working with technical standards and interoperability, ideally in defence or C4ISR contexts, although similar experience from other industries (e.g. finance, retail, manufacturing) would also be relevant exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written; Danish would be an additional advantage a curious and analytical mindset with a clear ability to communicate technically complex matters simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences This position will require some worldwide travel to customer and non-customer sites - approximately 10-20 days per year. Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security-classified projects.
