We own the foundational layer that makes accounting possible for thousands of small businesses and their accountants across Europe — the bookkeeping engine, chart of accounts, VAT services, journal management, and statutory reporting. This area is entering one of the most consequential phases in Shine's history. We're building the accounting infrastructure that will power the next generation of our platform across multiple European markets — and we're doing it while the platform is live and scaling. The team is currently evolving its structure to better reflect this ambition, moving toward a model organized around a universal accounting engine and market-specific compliance layers. This is a rare opportunity to shape that transition from the inside. Your Role as a Product Director, Accounting Core As Product Director, Accounting Core, you own the accounting engine at the heart of Shine's platform. This is not a maintenance role — you are responsible for evolving foundational infrastructure while shipping the compliance deliverables that matter most to our accountant and SMB customers across Europe.
