Senior Financial Controller - Renewable Energy - BeGreen A/S Senior Financial Controller - Renewable Energy At BeGreen, we develop and operate renewable energy projects built to last across generations. We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller with a strong background from accounting- and controlling renewables projects and -companes across solar, hybrid, and energy storage projects based in Denmark, with exposure to international suppliers and projects. This position is ideal for someone with a solid accounting - and controlling background who understands renewable energy, whether in solar, BESS, or hybrid technologies—and who can challenge project managers when needed and report on time and in good quality every time. About the role We are a small Finance team where we share the workload and contribute to deliveries with tight deadlines. You will take ownership of the project control task in BeGreen. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for financial- and performance reporting to our mother company Equinor, while handling the cost control of our development projects and producing assets. Your Responsibilities Controlling & Reporting BeGreen operates a well-functioning Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system with a high degree of automation, As our new Senior Controller, you must be proficient in using and working with BC and our BC specialists. Together with colleagues in the team and in the business you will take ownership of and continue to develop and expand processes and tasks.. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of projects and companies, including quality assurance of ongoing bookkeeping, internal and external reporting, VAT and excise duty filings, calculation of taxable income, and preparation of material for the auditors. Project Follow-Up You will be responsible for ongoing project and budget follow-up in collaboration with individual project managers in the development team. Together with the project managers, you will produce meaningful monthly and quarterly reports for individual projects, including variance analyses. The project follow up needs to be systemized and improved using our Data Warehouse, PowerBI tools and AI. Through this work, you will contribute to ensuring the quality of our budget- and cash flow forecasts — an area you will also own, develop, and continuously adapt as the business evolves. Process Optimisation You will drive the implementation and optimisation of processes, templates, and digital solutions, with a particular focus on leveraging AI and automation. About You We imagine you will recognise yourself in several of the following: 5-10 years of relevant experience from a finance function and/or as an auditor Relevant educational background in accounting & finance You enjoy mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues Experience from an asset-focused business, preferably within the renewable energy sector Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Excel, and Power BI is required.
